Productive and sustainable coconut farming ecosystems is a potential "carbon sinks" to minimize the effect of climate change, reported Dr. Severino S. Magat of Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) in a seminar titled, "Coconut: Its Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change" sponsored by the Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR). The seminar was attended by key stakeholders from the coconut industry including experts and representatives from the research and development and extension (RDE), production, and marketing sectors.
