| Description | A watershed is a delineated area of land from which rainwater can drain, as surface run-off via a specific stream or river system before discharging into a river, lake or sea. Watershed management is the process of guiding land use and other resource uses in a watershed to provide goods and services without adversely affecting soil and water resources. This report describes the Santa Rosa watershed, a once scenic, rural and agrarian community, its transformation into an urban metropolis, and implications on water resources and sustainability. |
